The problem of a test is that it has several consequences:
The first, and most evident is that it implies a model. This model implies that, once a specific characteristic can be measured, this makes it possible to make an exact identification of a type of personality and the behaviour patterns that are associated with it.
The model that we have developed is fine-tuned as the tests continue. It includes certain basic factors: Emotionalism, the degree of presence of sexual thoughts and the subject’s evaluation of them, tenderness etc.
The second consequence is that very often the results say: "you are this". However, nobody can really say who or what you are! Respect for other people makes humility a necessity. The libido test gets pretty close to what you are today and will certainly give you some helpful information regarding your sexuality, even if they are only a good starting point for your further thoughts on the matter. But this changes with the passing of time and with changes in other factors. So we have refused to « nail down » the results and instead offer a system of « gauges ». In this way, you can evaluate the coherence of your results yourself, without being put into a category.
Finally, the results of the tests are often only with relation to the model. However, we have implemented a system here by means of which you can compare yourselfwith the other people who have done the test. You should note that, given the success of the test, any difference from the average is not to be neglected, given the number of people having already done the test, which serves as a basis for comparison.
It is important to note that our system automatically re-calibrates itself as the number of people having done the test increases. Also, if there were any errors in our basic model with respect to certain factors, these errors will be corrected by the automatic re-calibration.
Putting it another way, we believe that the idea of being « normal » is ephemeral ; that « normality » varies according to countries, cultures and eras, above all when it comes to matters of sexuality. The comparison of the test results with respect to others who have done the test is more important than the number of points scored.
